Nourishing Chocolate Custard

Packed FULL of healthy fats to sustain a mother's energy levels, balance her hormones and nourish her breast milk. It’s also rich in choline, an essential postpartum nutrient crucial for the rapidly growing brain of an infant. I’ve added collagen powder, which is one of the most abundant proteins in the body and supports our joints, muscles, bones, microbiome & more, but you can omit it if preferred!

Okay, mamas, here it is!

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut cream 2 Tbsp maple syrup 1 Tbsp collagen powder (I like Cell Squared) 50 grams of dark chocolate 2 eggs 2 egg yolks 1/4 tsp vanilla essence 1/2 ripe avocado

Steps:

Add coconut milk to a saucepan on low heat. Slowly whisk in the eggs & yolks, one by one, until well combined. Add the maple syrup & vanilla essence. Slowly add the chocolate, stirring constantly until well combined. Lastly, add the collagen powder & mix until dissolved. Transfer the mixture to a high-speed blender along with the avocado. Blend until well combined. Transfer to a jar and pop into the fridge to set for roughly three hours. It will keep in the fridge, covered for five days, but it won’t last that long. Eat straight from the jar.

Enjoy,

Rose x
